// Acorn Grid is an offline Tabata and interval workout timer with a routine builder and a local training log.
[01] Information collected // inputs
None. We run no servers and receive nothing from the app: there is no sign-up, no login, no email capture and no identifier sent anywhere. The only personal detail the app touches is the display name you may type on the Profile screen, which is written to the local database so the home screen can greet you and is never transmitted.
[02] Local storage // on-device
Kept in OS-level local storage on your device, never uploaded:
- Routines — the plans you build or edit: name, chosen moves, work/rest lengths, rounds, cycles and an optional note. Six starter routines are seeded on first launch.
- Session history — one row per workout: routine, start time, time trained, intervals completed, whether you finished, and a derived effort score.
- Merits — which milestones you have unlocked, and when.
- Profile — your display name, weekly session goal and the date the app was first opened.
- Settings — timer preferences (lead-in, auto-advance, next-up, countdown cue, big-numbers mode, reduced motion) and whether you have seen the intro slides.
Uninstalling the app deletes every byte.
[03] Permissions // runtime
Acorn Grid requests no runtime permissions. The release Android build declares none (not even internet access) and the iOS build declares no usage descriptions, so you will never be prompted to grant anything. No photos, contacts, location, health records, biometrics or device identifiers are read.
[04] Network // egress
The app is fully offline. It contains no HTTP client, no sync service and no remote configuration; every routine, move description and statistic is computed on your device from data bundled with the app or stored locally. It works identically in airplane mode.
[05] Third parties // vendors
None are integrated: no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, social login or payment SDK. Dependencies are limited to the Flutter framework, local storage (SQLite) and charting libraries, and the bundled Sora typeface (SIL Open Font License 1.1) — none of which contact a server.
[06] Children // coppa/gdpr-k
Acorn Grid is a general-purpose fitness timer and is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects and transmits nothing, it does not collect personal information from children, and there is no data held by us to delete on a parent’s request. It is not a medical device — exercise within your limits.
[07] Your rights // you
Your data never leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to access, export or erase. You can delete single sessions from History and routines you built from Routines. Uninstalling the app, or Settings → Apps → Acorn Grid → Storage → Clear data, removes every record permanently; there is no backup to restore from.
[08] Changes // changelog
If this policy changes, the updated field at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
